Susan Micari is a learning specialist and educational therapist with experience remediating learning disabilities that spans 25 years. She began her work as a volunteer in a shelter for homeless women and children in Manhattan, and created a program that attracted $500,000 in funds to expand research on how to educate traumatized people.
She has worked in private schools, presented workshops in public schools and institutions, and had appeared on national television on The Today Show. Her writing on children and issues has appeared in journals, and she maintains a private practice in the remediation of learning disabilities in New York City.
