Lauren Slade BC Ref Dip MH CMR CRI CBSLauren Slade is a business women fascinated with alternative medicine and holistic healing modalities. She was born in London, England where she was educated in many healing arts including Reflexology, Herbs, Homeopathy, Massage Therapy and Aromatherapy. Working in private practice for over 35 years has been a source of joy and delight for her as she have watched clients with a wide range of conditions. Lauren moved to Canada and founded the Universal College of Reflexology in 1991. She has taught and coached 1,000’s of students around the world about Reflexology, Traditional Japanese Reiki, Herbs, Dowsing, Meditation, Aromatherapy and Crystals to mention just a few of her favourite subjects. She loves discovering different ways of integrating simple, easy and natural solutions into every day healthcare, such as how Reflexology can be used to alleviate a wide variety of ailments from anti-aging, stress relief to pain management. Lauren is the author of “The Wealthy Reflexologist”, “Top Ten Myths About Reflexology”, “7 Minute Reflexology” and “Reflexology as a Career”. Lauren is always exploring ways of passing this most effective, ancient healing art onto as many people as possible. She is constantly writing and updating the wide collection of Reflexology and natural health manuals (over 42) that are used at the Universal College of Reflexology. Lauren Slade is Past President of the Reflexology Association of Canada where she assisted in broadening the scope of RAC to include hand and ear Reflexology. Lauren also serves on the advisory committee for the Natural Therapy Certification Board. Lauren understands the importance of improving the quality of education and professionalism of Reflexology.
Lauren loves discovering and exploring different ways of integrating reflexology into every day healthcare, such as how Reflexology can be used for a wide variety of ailments from stress relief to pain management Lauren lives on an island in the Pacific Ocean situated off the West Coast of Canada with her husband and dog Oliver, surrounded old growth forests with 800 year old trees and nature filled with wild life such as Eagles, Blu Herons, Deer, Elk, Cougar, Bears, Sea Lions, Seals, Otters, Mink, Raccoons and Wolves. There are two pods of native killer whales living just off the coast in the Pacific Ocean, who are often spotted from passengers who ride the ferries that move back and forth to the mainland. Lauren lives between the snow-capped mountains with world champion ski resorts and white sandy beaches rated # 2 in the world. Teaching others how to have fun and heal themselves and their lives is one of Lauren's main passions in life.
