Doris is an artist, painter and teacher. She is experienced in many art forms, but mixed media is Doris’ favourite form of painting as it satisfies her love of exploring and experimenting with textures, shapes, and creating more contemporary looks. Nature and the world around her inspires Doris.

Doris' love of texture and her artistic expertise won her the Allessandra Bisselli Award and a First Place in a Still Life show with the Federation of Canadian Artists in Vancouver. Look for Doris Charest’s work in the American Magazine: Sommerset Studio (Summer, 2007) and British Magazine: Leisure Painter. Both feature three pages of Doris’ artwork, recognising her impressive and inspirational artwork. In 2011, she won the Sylvie Brabant award for her work in the art community. In 2013, Doris won First Place for Still Life with a collage with the Federation of Canadian Artists, Vancouver, BC.
